Mafia: The Old Country - Rock Assets

I had the pleasure of working as an Environment Artist on the Biomes Team for Mafia: The Old Country.

My main responsibility was overseeing a large portion of the rock assets across the game. Together with my lead and art direction, I helped define the visual language and overall look of the rocks for the different biomes. I created visual target assets for each zone and contributed to documentation and feedback to support our outsourcing partners during production.

Most of the rocks in the game went through my hands in one way or another, some I built from blockout to final implementation, while others I refined through material, vertex color, UV, or sculpt adjustments. Some rocks were sculpted completely in Zbrush, and others were a combination of scans and hand sculpted tweaks.

It was a real pleasure collaborating with such a talented team and contributing to the authentic 1900s Sicilian landscapes that bring the world of Mafia: The Old Country to life.
